BTW: Which Xprint release do you use ? And on which platform do you work
? Debian Linux, SuSE, Mandrake, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX ?

Erm... what do you mean with "crashes" ? Does the printer stop accepting
print jobs, stops to respond to anything (even maintaince interface
etc.), does CUPS hang (are there any CUPS messages in the log files),
... ?
Are there any messages in the maintaince display ?

supports PostScript - does that apply for your printer, too - or is that
an optional functionality (e.g. extra catrige) ?
How much memory does the printer have installed ?
