Did you install the OpenGL packages? Sun distributes their OpenGL/GLX extension separately from Solaris, by default their Xservers do not offer the GLX extension. I think you have to download and install the packages from http://wwws.sun.com/software/graphics/opengl/download.html plus the OpenGL 1.3 patches from sunsolve.
