Did you upgrade the Xprint package or change anything else in the
printer setup ?

Is "_default" the host name of the Solaris machine ?

1. What is the exact message of "xplsprinters" ?
2. What does % echo $XPSERVERLIST # say ?
3. Is the Xprint server running (e.g. what does % ps -ef | fgrep Xprt #
say ?) ?

Mhhh. AFAIK there may be a a very small gap (e.g. race condition) at
boot time between the print spooler and the Xprint server - if the
spooler isn't fast enougth and the Xprint server comes up in parallel
then it may not see the print queues (you can verify this via doing a %
/etc/init.d/xprint stop ; /etc/init.d/xprint start # sequence to restart
the Xprint server (or use the "xprehashprinterlist" tool (which doesn't
require a server restart))).
